The mother of an American student who vanished in Aruba comes to Shreveport to encourage families with missing loved ones.

Beth Holloway spoke at the gingerbread house luncheon at Sam's Town Hotel and Casino.

Her daughter, Natalee famously disappeared during a senior class trip to Aruba in 2005.

Beth has since made it her mission to educated young adults about personal safety, especially while traveling.

"There's so many actions that you can do throughout the day, and to never give up, never give up just to keep fighting the battle for their loved ones."

Natalee Holloway's body was never discovered.
