A Caddo Parish School Board member wants the public to know the recent news of ten schools improving from "Academically Unacceptable" is misleading.

The board unanimously voted Monday night for all ten of those schools to receive a $500. Curtis Hooks says the teachers and principals at those schools did work hard and the schools did show improvement.

However he says the grading scale was lowered making it easier for schools to earn a higher rating.
