A suspect wanted for conspiring to murder two judges in Florida has been caught in Bossier City.
Joseph Schmitt, 46, of Panama, was arrested around 7 p.m. Thursday at the Horseshoe Casino Hotel.
The BCPD S.W.A.T team along with the FBI took Schmitt into custody after the US Marshal’s Office received information on his whereabouts.
Schmitt faces conspiracy to commit murder charges in Bay Co. and he is also wanted out of St. Johns Co. for aggravated stalking after an injunction.
Schmitt, who was booked into the Bossier City Jail, is awaiting extradition to Florida.
