Detectives with the Bossier City Police Department’s Property Crimes Unit have gotten to the  bottom of multiple vehicle burglaries committed
at a local car dealership.

Charles Dewayne Blue, 37, of Bossier City, was arrested and booked into the Bossier City jail, after being caught entering a vehicle parked in a secure area outside the repair shop at Landers Dodge in the 2700 block of Benton Road.

The arrest came during an overnight surveillance operation conducted in response to three incidents earlier this month at Landers Dodge, in the 2700 block of Benton Road. In each of the instances, the repair shop was broken into and multiple vehicles were burglarized.

Blue was taken into custody at approximately 1 a.m. today after they saw him enter a vehicle that was parked in a secured area outside the repair shop.

In addition, detectives seized Blue’s vehicle and recovered dozens of items inside that are believed to have been  taken in the burglaries at Lander’s Dodge and in other recent vehicle burglaries. Those items include men’s wedding bands, two Rolex watches, gift cards, GPS navigation devices, iPods, collectable gold coins, tools and flashlights.

Detectives are continuing their investigation and more charges against Blue are possible.
