Bowie County man undergoes mental evaluation

The case of a man facing three counts of aggravated assault is put on hold.
In Bowie County, the case involving a man facing three counts of aggravated assault is put on hold.

20-year-old David Quest Snyder is undergoing a mental evaluation.

On August, 6th, 2013, Snyder allegedly threatened his mother and 6-year-old cousin with a knife.

The little girl was able to get out of the house and stop a passing car.

The person in the car happened to be a Bowie County Sheriff deputy.

Snyder allegedly came outside and aggressively approached the deputy holding the same knife.

The deputy then shot Snyder in the pelvis.

The court will decide how to move forward once the mental evaluation results are known.
