With voter turnout at nine percent, Brady O'Callaghan is elected
the next for Caddo District Judge. He’s replacing Judge Jeanette Garrett, who moved up to the Court of Appeals.
Brady O'Callaghan won with 3,238 ballots in his favor, accounting
for 65 percent of votes. His opponent Mike Miller garnered 1,707 votes. Both said they enjoyed campaigning and getting out from their desks to meet people.
“I’m just proud of the campaign we ran. It was a very clean campaign. We were able to be truthful in everything we said and basically I feel like I ran on my record,” said O’Callaghan.
"The voters have spoken. We ran a hard race and I want to congratulate Judge O’Callaghan for being successful and I look forward to supporting him in the next few years,” said Mike Miller.
O'Callaghan served as a Caddo Assistant District Attorney for nearly 10 years. Miller said he does not intend on running in a year, when the judge seat is up for election.
