Community meal held for families

'Tis the season of giving.
In your helping hands report, 'tis the season of giving.

That's what one group spent their day doing.

Praise Temple's Missions Ministry held their annual community meal.

Six locations around Shreveport/Bossier hosted local residents.

People were invited to eat food, play games, and join in prayer.

Those helping say it's always important to get involved.

"Many times we're faced with our own problems," said Neisha Taylor. "But it's always good to put yourself aside and think about others so it's an honor for us to be apart of it."

The total goal was to feed more than 2,000 people.

Those in charge say they plan on hosting another meal soon.

The event was free and open to the public.
