Construction begins at Mall St. Vincent.
Crews removed siding from some stores, to build street entrances. This allows the stores to be accessible from the parking lot and inside the mall. Rouse Properties says many of he stores will eventually have an entrance facing I-49.
Crews are also re-working the center of the mall, and trying to add new tenants.
In April, the Shreveport City Council approved a one percent sales tax to help pay for the 12 to 14 million dollars worth of mall renovations. The new tax took effect July 1.
The makeover should be complete early next year. Here's a link to more information.
