Texarkana's citizens ate for a cause.
On Thursday, the 15th annual Bramlett Beans and Cornbread Community Fundraiser was held.
People lined up to partake in the event.
A small fee or can donation was required to enter.
All donations go to help provide meals to local families in need.
Food, desserts, and drinks were all served.
"It just gets bigger and better every year, but we couldn't do it without the people in the community supporting us an taking care of us because it's all going to families in Texarkana and it provides food for them for about a month," said former Mayor James Bramlett.
The event is held each year on the first Thursday in December.
Officials hope to continue it for years to come.
