The sixth annual celebration of C.C. Antoine kicks off at the Louisiana State Fairgrounds.
The day-long festival included performers, vendors, and fun activities for the kids. It was free to attend.
"This year we had more children involved,” said organizer Tammy Wright. “More children, more out of town guests different pop ins here and there.”
C.C. Antoine is known for sponsoring legislation which helped Shreveport become a city. He was also Captain in the Union Army during the Civil War. Organizers have planned a community clean up at C.C. Antoine park.
