Its called Gwen's law, named for the late Gwen Cox, who was killed in an act of domestic violence.

39-year-old Gwen Cox was killed by her husband 2 weeks ago.

She was threatened her husband, Michael Salley more than once, and she filed a restraining order.

The very judge that signed the order also signed Salley's bond to be released just 18 hours later.

Sally he went to his daughter's daycare and shot Gwen and then himself.

The bill would allow victims and the district attorney to have a say in whether or not bail is set.

If an abuser is granted bail the judge could order an electronic montoring device to know where the suspect is at all times.

Gwen's law also directs the judge to make a danger assessment and decide if a cool down period is necessary.
