A local elementary school takes part in a history program

A program about unity and black history took place this morning at Waller Elementary

Fifth grade students at Waller Elementary dressed up in character to present the Waller History Program. Student actors and actresses portrayed the likes of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Coretta Scott King and other notable historical figures. Written by paraprofessional Metra Ardoin, the history program promotes unity as well as African American history. If you missed the performance this morning, another will take place tonight at 6 p.m. in the gymnasium of Waller Elemenary.
