A local Sheriff's office plays host to a camp for kids

Many area youth get the chance to enjoy nature at it's best.
A local Sheriff's office kicks off their annual camp at Garland Scout Ranch.

More than 80 boys are getting a chance to experience the great outdoors-- many for the first time.

The annual camp for 10 to 13-year-olds is sponsored by Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

It combines fun, outdoor activities like camping, swimming, and target shooting--- with programs that build character.

Sheriff's Camp is held annually in cooperation with the Boy Scouts of America, Norwela council.
