Bossier City police are investigating a two vehicle crash that killed one of the drivers this afternoon on Arthur Ray Teague Parkway at its intersection with Shady Grove Blvd. The crash happened at approximately 2 p.m. this afternoon.
A sedan with two occupants was traveling west on Shady Grove Blvd, crossing over the Arthur Ray Teague Parkway, to travel south. While crossing the Arthur Ray Teague Parkway (north bound lane), the sedan was struck by a pickup truck.
The Bossier City Police Accident Investigation Team was on scene conducting the investigation. Bossier City Fire Department personnel transported the driver of the sedan to University Health Hospital in Shreveport where she was pronounced dead. The name is not being released at this time pending notification of next of kin.
The passenger of the sedan, as well as the driver of the pickup truck, also was transported to University Health Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Weather, heavy rain, may have contributed to the accident. Alcohol does not appear to have contributed to the accident but with all fatal crashes, a blood test will be performed.
