Arkansas home sales up, prices down

The number of homes sold in Arkansas in February increased by over 12 percent over a year ago while the average price of those homes sold decreased by almost 3 percent.
LITTLE ROCK, AR (News release) - Arkansas REALTORS® experienced an increase in the number of homes sold statewide in February as reflected in a report distributed by the Arkansas Realtors® Association this morning.

The number of homes sold in Arkansas in February increased by over 12 percent over a year ago while the average price of those homes sold decreased by almost 3 percent.

The average price of the homes sold in the 43 county area surveyed by the Association decreased from $151,342 in Feb. 2013 to $146,902 in Feb. 2014. Statewide valuations in February increased by over 9 percent from last year.
