Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover is recognizing high school students for their athletic accomplishments.

The City of Shreveport will hold "Championship Tuesday" at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 13 to honor boys and girls who won state titles in various athletic competitions during the school year.

Students from schools that include Caddo Magnet High, C.E. Byrd, Calvary Baptist Academy and Evangel Christian Academy will be introduced to the entire City Council.

Mayor Glover said, "Our student-athletes had outstanding seasons throughout the year and we look forward to recognizing them for all the hard work that went into making them champions both on and off the field."
