Dallas, TX. (Courtesy Cowboys ) - The Dallas Cowboys have renegotiated kicker Dan Bailey’s contract, signing him through 2020. Bailey originally signed with Dallas as an unrestricted free agent out of Oklahoma State following the 2011 NFL Draft.
In his three seasons with Dallas, Bailey has converted 90.8 % of his field goals (89-of-98) and all 123 of his extra points. He has also handled kickoffs all three years, kicking off 237 times with 106 touchbacks. For his career, he has 15 games with 3-plus field goals made – good for second in team history – and three games with 4-plus field goals made – tied for second in team history. Bailey has also been clutch on game-winning field goals, converting eight-game winners, which are the most in team history. Bailey converted a career-long 53-yard field goal three times in 2013, twice in one game (at Kansas City and two at Detroit). In 2013 he made six field goals from 50-plus yards, which is tops in team history, and is 11-of-16 from 50-plus for his career. Currently, his 89 made field goals are second in team record books, his 90.8 field goal percentage is tops and his 123 extra points are fifth.
