Crews respond to Louisiana Towers fire

Shreveport Fire crews are responding to a fire at the Louisiana Towers.
Update at 1:12pm:

Shreveport Fire tells NBC 6 News that the fire alarms were activated around 12:30pm.

Multiple units responded to the scene.

They say the fire started in a heating and ventilation closet towards the top of the tower.

When the fire began, the sprinkler system activated and put the flames out.

By the time firefighters were on-scene, the fire had been put out.

Investigators are there now looking into the incident.

Shreveport Fire crews are responding to a fire at the Louisiana Towers.

According to an official with the Shreveport Fire Department, 18 units are responding to the fire.

It's not know at this time what portion of the building is on fire.

NBC 6 News crews are heading to the scene and will provide details as they become available.
