Farm equipment thief arrested in Arkansas

A man wanted for stealing $27,000 worth of farm equipment from a farm in Plain Dealing has been arrested in Miller Co., Arkansas.
A man wanted for stealing $27,000 worth of farm equipment from a farm in Plain Dealing has been arrested in Miller Co., Arkansas.

Jamie Caswell, 35, was taken into custody Wednesday at his home in Fouke.

Caswell was arrested on a Bossier Sheriff's Office warrant for felony theft for stealing a 2003 John Deere Model 894 8-row corn header valued at $25,000, a John Deere water pump valued at $1,000 and a New Holland 320 hay baler valued at $1,500 from a barn in the 1000 block of Hwy 537.

The corn header and water pump have been recovered but the hay baler is still missing. 

Detectives are asking anyone who may have purchased a hay baler from Caswell in the past few weeks to contact Bossier Crime Stoppers at (318) 424-4100 or Det. Charlie Myrick of the Bossier Sheriff's Office at (318) 965-2203.
