McDonald's is turning to Texarkana College to help build their skilled workforce.

Wednesday morning Texarkana College and McDonald's officials held a press conference to unveil the Pay for Grades partnership, an initiative to attract quality manager trainees by offering incentives for employees who earn college credits at Texarkana College.

Owner and operator of Texamac, Inc., Jason Sadowski said, "We know that Texarkana College students work hard and are committed to building a better future for themselves and for their families. We want to invest in this type of employee and help grow their opportunities to earn more and become eligible for our outstanding benefits package."

The exclusive partnership between Texarkana College and McDonald's allows students to earn a bonus of $25 per credit hour completed with a grade of C or better while working at least two shifts per week at an area McDonald's restaurant managed by Texamac, Inc.

Employees will be eligible to earn the cash bonus once they have been employed by McDonald's for at least 45 days and have a transcript showing successful completion of classes at Texarkana College.

Sadowski said, "Full-time TC students could earn a cash bonus of up to $300 each semester with the Pay for Grades program. McDonald's allows students to work flexible hours and gives opportunities for rapid advancement. In addition, the manager trainee program provides employees with world-class training, which can lead to a rewarding and satisfying career. We are excited to launch this initiative and look forward to rewarding our employees for investing in their future through higher education."

Interested persons should first apply for employment at Texarkana area McDonald's restaurants by obtaining an application online at www.mcstate.com or in person at 2015 Galleria Oaks Dr., Texarkana, Texas.
