Funeral arrangements set for deputy killed in car crash

Funeral services for Richardson will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22 at the First Baptist Church of Stamps.

Richardson, a 19-year veteran of the department, died Monday while on his way to drop Michael Ackart off at a homeless shelter. 

Ackart allegedly grabbed the steering wheel of Richardson's patrol vehicle causing it to collide with an SUV and a tractor trailer.   He faces murder charges in Richardson's death.
