Tim Owens:
After a 6 and 5 season and a first round playoff loss the goal is simple for the Haughton football team.

Rodney Guin:
We want to make the playoffs. That's a big deal, but we want to advance in the playoffs too. Try to advance in our league. Our league is real good.

Tim:
Real good is an understatement. The Buccaneers play in a district with two teams who played for state championships last season.

Will Haines:
Every week is a battle

Guin:
We enjoy that it's a fun district, big games every week.

Tim:
The plan is for those big games to translate into success in the playoffs.
Haines:
You come out of the toughest district you're used to the tough games every week.

Tim:
The key to this seasons success will come on the offensive side of the ball, as the Buccaneers sport a high octane offense.

Haines:
Explosive would definitely be a word I would use to describe it.

J.T Bledsoe:
We like to do a little bit of everything.  Will is a very good dual threat quarterback. He can do it all.

Tim:
The offense is led by two division one commits Quarterback Will Haines and Wide Receiver Jevonte Woods. They've been playing together for nearly 10 years now.

Haines:
We've been best friends since preschool. We always had a great relationship.
Tim:
Those relationships run deeper than just between the players. The players feel a bond that can't be broken with coach Guin.

Haines:
He treats us like we're his sons, all 90 of us. It's a great feeling having such a great coach. You look up to him kind of like a dad.

Tim:
It's this family mentality that could push this team to the top of the district standings.
