Hester, Broncos bow out in OT

Peyton Manning's season ends, Ray Lewis' career continues

Shreveport native, Evangel high alum, and former LSU Tiger Jacob Hester couldn't carry the Broncos to the AFC Championship.

Denver fell to the Baltimore Ravens 38-25 in double overtime.

Baltimore kicker Justin Tucker drilled a 47-yard field goal in the second overtime session, sending the Ravens to the AFC Championship and Peyton Manning and the Broncos home with a bitter lose.

The Broncos appeared to be on their way to a win, carrying seven-point lead with less-than-a-minute to play.

But Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco had other ideas.

Flacco connected with Jacoby Jones on a 70-yard touchdown pass to tie the game at 35-a-peice.

Peyton Manning threw two interceptions in the loss. Including a costly pick that led to the Ravens game-winning drive.

Jacob Hester finished the day with eight carries for 11 yards. Fellow LSU Tiger Trindon Holliday had a career day in the loss. Holliday returned a kickoff for a touchdowns 104 yards and punt for a TD 90 yards.
