Hundreds of local airmen return to Barksdale Air Force Base.
The plane arrived around 3:30 p.m. Friday, after a 14 hour flight from Guam.
More than a hundred family members and friends were there to greet the 280 airmen, of the 20th Bomb Squadron. They were deployed in Guam for six months.
Barksdale Air Force Base trades off every six months with the Air Force base in Minot, North Dakota to transport B-52s to the South Pacific region. Barksdale officials tell NBC 6 members of the 96th Bomb Squadron will likely be deployed to Guam in six months.
