Cass County Sheriff, Larry Rowe today confirmed the identity of human bones found in a pasture near Farm to Market Road 2791 last October.
According to autopsy results received Monday, the remains are identified as those of 41-year-old Michael Ray Bryant of Linden, Texas.
The bones, which included a skull, were found by a deer hunter, who immediately contacted law enforcement. Officers searched the area and found more bones and some clothing and identification in a wooded area nearby.
Although Rowe said the cause of death was undetermined, no foul play was suspected. Rowe said the case isn’t closed, but he expects it will be soon.
