Job Corps turns 50

It's one of the nation's largest career-training networks for low-income youths-- and this week it turns fifty.

Half a century ago President Lyndon Johnson started Job Corp in effort to fight poverty.

In Shreveport- the local Job Corp is celebrating the big 5-0 by taking part in an entire week of celebration. Today they held an open house and job fair. Tomorrow morning---  It's summer graduation.

Tomorrow's graduation will be held in the Jaguarland gym at Job Corp. Over fifty graduates of the program will walk across the stage and take the next step towards their future.
