Lake Bistineau To Once Again Go Through A 7-foot Drawdown

Louisiana Department Of Wildlife & Fisheries will once again open the gates on Lake Bistineau to draw the water level to 7-feet below pool stage.
The gates will be opened on August 8th and remain open until the lake reaches the target level of 7-feet below normal pool stage. The gates will remain open for a period of 60 days once the drawdown level has been achieved.

The lake is expected to drop approximately 4-inches a day. It will take about two weeks to reach the drawdown level.
