Lane closures on major roadways may impact your travel

You can expect delays next week if you drive on Interstate-220, Interstate-20 and LA 1.
You can expect delays next week if you drive on Interstate-220, Interstate-20 and LA 1.

Starting at 8:15 p.m. Monday, April 28 the west bound lanes of I-220 will be closed from the I-220 and I-20 interchange in Bossier City to the Caddo Parish line.

There will be nightly shoulder and lane closures to upgrade signs and guard rails.
 
This work is expected to be complete by June 15.

Also, beginning at 6 a.m. Monday, April 28 there will be outside lane closures on I-20 westbound from the Texas State Line to Mile Marker 2.

DOTD crews will be making upgrades to the motion scales at the weigh station in Greenwood.

This work is expected to last up to 2 weeks.

And starting Monday, April 28 bridge girders will be placed over LA-1 at the intersection with Interstate-49.

There will be nightly road closures between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. and the project should be wrapped up by Saturday, May 3.

Alternate Routes:

  • All North bound traffic on LA 1 should detour north US 71 then west LA 538 to north LA 1.
  • All South bound traffic on LA 1 should detour east LA 538 then south US 71.
  • All I-49 southbound traffic should detour exit at LA 173 then east to US 71and travel south US 71 to Shreveport.
