A local 17-year-old sits behind bars Sunday morning following an overnight stabbing in a west Shreveport neighborhood.
Quanchivas Webster was taken into custody early this morning, after Shreveport police determined he was the aggressor in a domestic dispute.
Just after 1 a.m today (June 22, 2014), SPD patrol officers were called to a home located in the 3200 block of Penick Street relative to a stabbing that reportedly occurred inside the residence.
Upon officers arrival at the scene, contact was made with the victim who advised after arriving home moments earlier, she and Webster had a verbal dispute. That dispute turned violent when she was physically assaulted by Webster, who, she reported, dragged her throughout portions of the residence.
During the alleged battery, the victim reportedly armed herself with a sharp edged object, cutting Webster along the side of the abdomen.
Webster was treated for minor injuries and subsequently was booked into the Shreveport City Jail. An investigation into the incident suggests Webster was the aggressor in the incident.
No charges have been filed against the woman, who sustained minor injury during the ordeal. Webster faces a single charge of domestic abuse battery.
