Back on July 29th, 2014, Shreveport Police were sent to East Stoner Ave. at Youree Dr. relative to reports of a simple robbery.

When officers arrived, contact was made with the victime, 55-year-old Joe Johnson.

Johnson advised he was riding his custom bicycle near Stoner Ave. when a group of four males began yelling at him reportedly saying, "Hey old man."

Johnson advised he continued to ride his bike away from the group of hecklers in efforts to avoid their taunting.

Johnson reported as he rode off, the group of males followed him, striking him several times, knocking him from the bicycle.

Following the ordeal, one of the suspects fled the scene riding Johnson's bicycle, while the other three individuals fled in varying directions on foot.

Johnson was not seriously injured during the ordeal, but the custom Iron Horse bicycle (valued at nearly $700) was gone.

Shreveport Police Robbery detectives were informed of the matter, and launched an investigation.
