Mavs survive Giant scare

The Jacksonville Giants forced OT, but couldn't snap Shreveport's 59-game win streak
SHREVEPORT, LA - The Shreveport Mavericks are one win away from their first ABA championship since 2011 after outlasting the defending ABA champion Jacksonville Giants 136-127 in overtime.

With less than 10 seconds to play, Jacksonville's Anthony Jackson mounted a serious threat at Shreveport's 58-game win streak when he nailed a three-pointer to tie the game at 119 and send the game to overtime.

In overtime, the Mavericks outscored the Giants 17-8, ensuring their 59th straight win and putting them one-win away from an ABA title.

The Mavericks were led in scoring by Ed Horton's 26 points. Jacksonville's Jermaine Bell paced the field with 33 points.
