"I think the most important thing is how you get up. If you stay down you're going to stay down. Nobody's going to have any pity for you. That's how life is, life's not going to stop just for one person," said Michael Vick.

He hopes to get this message across in time to stop kids from needing a second chance. He also wants them to know if they do find themselves at a weak point, never to give up.

"I want them to know how important it is to keep pressing forward," said Vick.

Michael Vick was named NFL New Comer of the Year in 2010 and was recently picked up by the New York Jets. Although not official, the all time rushing leader for quarterbacks might be riding shotgun to Geno Smith in New York, but he's not upset by it.

"Just to have the opportunity to play in the NFL, we all take that for granted sometimes. Playing in the NFL is a privilege not a right," said Vick.

Vick's trying to make the best of his second chance and plans on leaving all negativity behind.

"Why would I complain about it? I could wake up doing something I really don't want to do. I have a chance to play in the NFL which is a great game,” said Vick.

An opportunity he's more thankful for now than ever.
