An east Texas community comes together to look for a missing DeBerry teen.  Alicia Benefield has been missing since March 14. According to investigators, her boyfriend’s mother reports last seeing her with her son at their home in Elysian Fields, TX, around 6:30 a.m.

Benefield's boyfriend, Rodris Webster, remains a person of interest for Harrison County investigators. He came to the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office Sunday for questioning and then was released.

On Monday, investigators were helped by the Air Land Emergency Resource Team from Big Sandy, Texas. The special search team combed through the woods in select areas in Waskom and Elysian Fields, Texas.

"It’s very hard to know that they have to go through this, but it’s definitely a blessing to help them in any way we can,” said Michael Wells, Responder 1st Class with the A.L.E.R.T. team out of Big Sandy, Texas.

Meanwhile, friends and family searched along I-20 near Waskom. Benefield’s family is grateful people have come from all over to search for her.

"Alicia, please come to the house if you can,” said Aaron Benefield.  “I want you to know that I told you I’d never give up on you.”

Benefield’s car was found in DeBerry, Texas around 4:30 a.m Friday; inside was her purse and cell phone. On Sunday, her family found her keys, work identification, and bracelet with a muddy sweatshirt in the Waskom Burger King dumpster. Benefield’s family said the sweatshirt belongs to Webster.

Rodris Webster was just released from jail Mar. 5. He was arrested in January for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Harrison County Administrative Deputy Jay Webb said Alicia Benefield dropped those charges.

Alicia Benefield is described as petite in size, African American with light complexion, 5’4 and 110 lbs. She wears braces, has a nose piercing, and has a tattoo “Wanda Ree” on her right forearm. If you've seen her, call the Harrison County Sheriff's Office at 903-923-4000 or leave an anonymous tip with Harrison County Crime Stoppers at 903-935-9969
