More than 6,000 experiencing power outages in Bossier

High winds are causing debris to blow into transmitters causing power outages, according to SWEPCO spokesman Scott McCloud.


High winds are causing debris to blow into transmitters causing power outages, according to SWEPCO spokesman Scott McCloud. 

In Bossier, 6091 customers are without power in Bossier, and the bulk of them are in the Brownlee and Old Minden Road areas

 McCloud said omething blew into a 69,000 volt transmitter at Brownlee and locked out six circuits

Bossier police are in outage areas directing traffic until stoplights are restored
