The Mall St. Vincent is one of the first in the country to welcome Nestle Toll House Cafe's enhanced kiosk. It doesn't just mean cookies, but fresh food and comfortable seating. Shoppers say it's nice to see the upgrades coming along both inside and outside.
The mall renovation is a multi million dollar project and ever since the start of the last holiday shopping season, customers have seen a 1% sales tax added to their purchases.
"We know the city has collected at least $100,000 that goes for upgrades surrounding the property like streets and other construction. It's good to see the progress finally coming along and it looks like it's coming pretty quickly at this point," city councilman Michael Corbin said.
