North Louisiana Criminal Justice Academy graduates 15

More than a dozen recruits from four agencies became certified Peace Officer Standards and Training law enforcement officers during the graduation of Class 011 from North Louisiana Criminal Justice Academy on May 23.
More than a dozen recruits from four agencies became certified Peace Officer Standards and Training law enforcement officers during the graduation of Class 011 from North Louisiana Criminal Justice Academy on May 23.

The guest speaker was LA State Representative Jeff Thompson.   The academy is sponsored by Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington and the Bossier Sheriff’s Office and teaches officer survival skills, legal issues, weapons qualifications, physical fitness, chemical weapons and more.

The honor graduate award and firearms proficiency award winner was Dep. Jared Vicento of the Bossier Sheriff’s Office.  Dep. Blake Smith with the Bossier Sheriff’s Office received the academic award, while Dep. Stephen George Davenport with the Bossier Sheriff’s Office received the physical fitness award.
