NSU faculty honored with Excellence in Teaching awards

Northwestern State University honored five members of its faculty with Excellence in Teaching Awards that recognize outstanding commitment to student success, research and academic endeavors in and out of the classroom.
Northwestern State University honored five members of its faculty with Excellence in Teaching Awards that recognize outstanding commitment to student success, research and academic endeavors in and out of the classroom. 

This year's honorees are:

  • Dr. Zafer Hatahet - Head of the Department of Biological and Physical Sciences in the College of Science, Technology and Business. 
  • Dr. Eileen Kendrick - Assistant professor in the Gallaspy Family College of Education and Human Development's Department of Teaching and Learning.
  • Dr. Dana Clawson - Dean of the College of Nursing and School of Allied Health and is an associate professor of nursing.
  • Dr. Davina McClain - Professor of Classics in the Louisiana Scholars' College.
  • Dr. Julie Kane - Professor of English in the Department of English in the College of Arts, Letters, Graduate Studies and Research.
