Power outages could take up to 4 days to fix

SWEPCO released a statement explaining how long it could take for power to be restored.
It could take up to 4 days for power to be completely restored around the ArkLaTex.

That according to the SWEPCO Facebook page.

A strong line of thunderstorms with winds of 50 to 60 mph swept through SWEPCO’s Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas service territory Wednesday, causing power outages to approximately 68,000 customers.


At 8:30 a.m. Thursday, approximately 32,000 customers remained without power. Service has been restored to 36,000 customers.

Crews are working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. SWEPCO crews are being joined by an additional 225 line, service and tree personnel from Arkansas, Texas, Mississippi, Missouri and Oklahoma to assist with the restoration.
