N. Caddo takes down Opelousas Catholic in massive playoff upset

VIVIAN, La - The playoff bracket didn't inspire confidence in North Caddo to win a playoff game. The Rebels were selected as the No. 28 seed in the class 2A playoff bracket.

The Rebels weren't that confident either after losing their best player, Dreyco Lawrence to a technicality before the 2013-2014 season started.

Yet, here they are, sitting in the regional round after disposing of No. 5 seed Opelousas Catholic 57-49.

Sophomore Rob Williams is a big reason why the Rebels are still alive. The 6'7" sophomore scored 16 points in the upset win over OP, collecting 23 rebounds, while swatting away 8 shots and collecting four steals.

North Caddo will aim their sites at No. 12 seed Doyle on March, 4th @ 6:30pm. That game will be played in Vivian at North Caddo high school.
