According to the latest Wall Street report, in 2012 Shreveport-Bossiers Gross Metro Product (GMP) fell by 11%, and in 2013 by more than 5%. For the second year in a row, the area shrank more than any other metro area in the nation.
It might seem like a broken record, but experts say the area economically is still feeling the pull from the recession, the closure of the GM plant, and Haynesville Shale activity.
