Shreveport man faces charges in car burglary

Detectives have arrested a man for allegedly breaking into a car outside of a Shreveport fitness club.
Detectives have arrested a man for allegedly breaking into a car outside of a Shreveport fitness club.

The burglary happened back on Aug. 9 near the Element Fitness health club in the 900 block of Quail Creek Rd.

The victim told officers he saw a man enter from the parking lot carrying multiple sets of car keys.  The man appeared to attempt to conceal of a set of car keys belonging to him.  Upon realizing the man had taken his car keys, the victim confronted the man, taking back possession of the keys belonging to him.

The suspect was seen driving away in what was described as a silver colored, late model Ford truck.  The victim later noticed several items had been stolen from his car. 

Investigators used surveillance video to identify Christopher Taylor, 33, and link him to the crime.

Taylor was arrested Thursday after authorities spotted him in the 500 block of Texas Ave.

Taylor was booked into the Shreveport City Jail and charged with one count of Simple burglary.
