Teen leadership camp teaches financial literacy

La Cima holds one of its biannual leadership camps.

Local latino youth attend a leadership seminar at Centenary College this weekend.  “La Cima” is a bilingual camp for teens ages 13 to 18. It happens twice a year. During this session, there are 33 students. On Saturday, they learned how to manage their money, thanks to speakers from the Shreveport Federal Credit Union. The camp ends Sunday. The goal is to inspire students to graduate from high school and attend college. The next “La Cima” camp is in November.
