UPDATE: The missing Texarkana teenager returned home Wednesday.
Her mother last saw Sidney Lee March 12th and reached out to NBC 6 News. Sidney had run away... but came home Wednesday when she saw her story on the news. Sidney came home, unharmed, after 14 days.
A mother fears her daughter may be in trouble.
Texarkana, Arkansas police say they're doing everything they can.
However, they're not putting out an Amber Alert because they don't believe a crime has been committed.
Mother, April Grimes, is broken into pieces.
"I love her to death," said Grimes. "I don't know what I would do without her."
The pain cuts deeper than any knife.
Grimes tells NBC 6 News, that she hasn't seen or heard from her daughter Sidney Lee in 12 days.
"I can't live without her," said Grimes. "I just want her to come home so I know she's safe. She has a warm bed and has food to eat."
Sidney Lee left her home in Texarkana, Arkansas on March 12th to go to school at Arkansas High.
Texarkana, Arkansas Police are working it as a runaway case, but Sidney's mom doesn't believe her daughter just took off.
So, she's using the media to reach her daughter, fearing the worst.
"I can't think about that. But if something bad did happen, please let us know where she is."
A mother searching for her daughter, is asking for the public's help.
For now, all she has is a picture of her daughter hoping she is okay.
TAPD say they've been working this case since the start, and are trying to do everything they can to help bring her back.
