Christus St. Michael Health System is competing in an online competition and is asking for your help.

They're trying to get votes in the 2014 Top 20 Most Beautiful Hospitals in America.

The annual contest, held by Soliant Health, recognizes hospitals for their beauty and aesthetics.

"Our patients, their families, our associates, and the community as a whole benefit from the beauty and aesthetics of our campus," said Chris Karam, FACHE, President/CEO of Christus St. Michael Health System. "Whether it's by walking along one of the wooded trails or sitting by the pond, our campus gives a pleasing environment for you to relax, reflect, and clear your mind - benefiting your physical, mental, and spiritual health."

More than 70 hospitals across the country have been nominated for this year's contest.

Voting began May 6th and runs through June 15th.

Voting is quick and easy.

Voting is available online at www.soliant.com/hospitals-2014/vote/.

Scroll down to find Christus St. Michael Health System, click "Vote for Us!" button, and then click the "Submit my Vote!" button found at the bottom of the screen.

There's no limit to the number of votes individuals can submit nor is any type of registration required in order to submit a vote.

"Dealing with an illness can be a very stressful situation. We are blessed to have a beautiful location that can provide a calming, relaxing place to reflect and pray," said Karam.

"There are a number of people who use our walking trails on a daily basis. The Sister Damian Trail ties in with the city's trail system," said Karam. "Our associates are currently raising funds to extend the trail along Cowhorn Creek Drive. We hope our community will go online and vote for us. We are very proud of our campus, and we do our best to ensure it provides a place of comfort and healing for those who come here."
