They bowled for a reason and raised money for a cause

This morning many gathered at Holiday Lanes to take part in bowling for a cure. An event that raises awareness and money to the Susan G Koman Foundation.

It's a new spin on an event that'll help fight a deadly disease.

This morning, Holiday Lanes in Bossier City went pink to help strike out Breast Cancer.

1 in 8 woman will develop invasive Breast Cancer in their lifetime, so the more that can be done to help raise awareness and help fight it, the better.

Saturday morning from 11am-2pm, a bowling tournament took place in Bossier City.

"It's huge, last year we had 50 people, this year we have 126"

Said president of the Northwest Louisiana chapter of Susan G Koman Foundation, Sarona Snyder.

Teams were be made up of 4 people, costing is $25 per person, but the amount of fun and education was priceless.

Participants received a commemorative event t-shirt, prizes were also given out, and a raffle drawing took place.


Proceeds from the event will benefit the Northwest Louisiana Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
