Bossier Sheriff officials confirm a tornado hit a neighborhood near Plain Dealing.

They report that an apparent tornado touched down, damaging a few residences on the 100 block of Buckshot Road around 3:15am Monday.

One home received major damage.

Initial reports stated a young boy had been injured, but after investigating, Sheriff Deputies say the homeowner and his two sons are all okay.

Buckshot Road is located about six miles west of Plain Dealing in a rural area north of Highway 2 near the Red River.

Deputies on-scene continue to assess the situation and have gone house to house to check on the well-being of residents.

So far, no injuries have been reported.

Trees have been knocked over and signs can be found on the road.
