Update: State Police capture Andrew DeBerry

Update: Andrew DeBerry was captured in Webster Parish this afternoon around 5pm. He was hiding in an RV Camper on someone's property.

Update: 5:40pm- Andrew DeBerry was captured in Webster Parish this afternoon around 5pm.  He was hiding in an RV Camper on someone's property.

Update: 4:30 p.m. - Earlier this morning, shortly before 9:00 a.m. Troopers assigned to Louisiana State Police Troop G attempted to stop a vehicle on Interstate 20 in Bossier Parish after learning that the vehicle had been reported stolen in Oklahoma.

The suspect vehicle immediately fled east on I-20 into Webster Parish. Troopers continued to pursue the vehicle as it exited onto US Hwy 80 and continued traveling east to a residence where the driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot.

Detectives from Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations have identified a person of interest who is a fugitive from Houston County Texas.

Below is a photo 18 year-old Andrew DeBerry of Cartwright, OK. Deberry is described as 5' 6" tall and weighing 140 lbs. with blonde hair and blue eyes.



Wednesday night troopers apprehended 19-year-old Danny McKinney of Denison, TX. 

McKinney was a passenger in the stolen vehicle that was discovered by police yesterday and spent most of the day hiding in a wooded area with Andrew Deberry. 

Mckinney was arrested and booked into the Webster Parish Jail for illegal possession of stolen things and resisting an officer by flight.

Deberry is wanted by the Grayson Co. Sheriff's Office for failing to register as a sex offender in Grayson County, TX.  He is now wanted by the Louisiana State Police for attempted 1st Degree Murder of a police officer, aggravated flight from an officer and illegal possession of stolen things.

Troopers are actively searching for Deberry in Webster Parish.  If you see this man, Troopers urge you not to approach him, but to contact Louisiana State Police by dialing *LSP or (318) 741-7411 or contact local authorities by dialing 911.
