Victim identified in Bossier City shooting

Bossier City police release the name of a man killed in a shooting that happened Monday night.
Bossier City police have now released the name of the person shot and killed during a verbal altercation at a mobile home park.

According to Bossier City Police Public Information Officer, Mark Natale the person has been identified as 37-year old Danny Earl Litton, Jr. of Shreveport. 

Police were call to the Pepper Point Mobile Home Park in the 6000 block of East Texas Street at approximately 11:15 p.m. Monday in reference to a shooting.

When officers arrived on the scene they found Litton, Jr. lying in the street in front of a residence with a gunshot wound to his upper body. Officers immediately performed CPR on the victim until Bossier City Fire Department personnel got to the scene. He was taken to University Health in Shreveport where he was pronounced dead.

A little over an hour later the suspect turned himself over to police at BCPD headquarters. He's identified as Christopher Brandon Phillips, 27, of Bossier City. Phillips was subsequently arrested for second degree murder and booked into the Bossier City Jail.
