The weather creates problems for many, especially for truckers.
Road closures have kept some from leaving Shreveport.
18-wheelers were lined up in the Brookshire's parking lot on North Market.
Some even spent the night there just waiting for I-220 to open.
We spoke with one driver heading towards Kentucky.
He says it's been a long, slick and tiring drive.
"Came up 49 and got to 3132 and they have it completely shutdown," said Donald Moore. "So, I had to come up through town, over to Bossier City, back up 71 to come over here. The road surfaces aren't bad, but the bridges are just full ice."
Moore, originally from Monroe, says he's been driving for 28 years.
He's used to driving in the chilly temperatures, but says he's looking forward to things warming up a bit.
