Dangerous roads In parts of DeSoto Parish

<br>There is some treacherous road conditions in the parish as a result of flooding from the recent rains

Flooding in parts of DeSoto Parish makes for dangerous road conditions.

Severe thunderstorms pounded the area Tuesday night

The DeSoto Parish Sheriff's office warns drivers to be aware of some closures and high water signs throughout the area.

Cordova and Charlie Jones Roads are not officially closed but they're not passable because of flooding.

Missile Base Road by the parish line is closed and motorists are being urged to use caution.

"A lot of times limbs and debris could be washed up on that road way left and it may actually have to be cleaned, but I can assure you that the highway department and the police jury will have those roads opened as soon as possible for the conveniences of the citizens," said DeSoto Parish Sheriff Rodney Arbuckle.

Blunt Mill Road at highway 84 and Grand Cane re-opened around 3 p.m. this afternoon.

Missile Base road might not re-open until Friday
